ELEANOR HARRINGTON was born in Bermuda at the start of the 20th century. Eleanor came to New York as a teenager and studied at the Art Students’ League with George Bridgman, the most famous drawing teacher of the time. She worked for Coles Phillips, the great Saturday Evening Post illustrator of the 1920’s. She was in the first class at Yaddo and did murals, textile design, watercolors, and paintings in addition to her drawings. She was shown at the Society of Independent Artists.
